The Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) invites applicants to short job interviews on March 27th
The Darmstadt Rhine-Main-Neckar Chamber of Industry and Commerce invites students to an apprenticeship speed dating event March 27th 2 pm to 5 pm, students can have brief conversations with companies from the region at Rheinstraße 89 in Darmstadt.
Ten minutes for a first impression
In the trainee speed dating format, applicants have ten minutes each to introduce themselves to a company. The appointments are booked online in advance.
“We’ve noticed that for many companies, the personal impression is often more important than good grades,” explains Torsten Heinzmann from the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce. For young people, this is a good opportunity to talk directly to companies and potentially discover new apprenticeship opportunities.
Approximately 50 companies are located on site
Around 50 companies from the region are expected to attend the apprentice speed dating event . They will provide information about their apprenticeship opportunities and be available for brief job interviews.
The range of options extends from classic apprenticeships such as industrial clerks, warehouse specialists, or electronics technicians to food technology specialists. Dual study programs , for example in business informatics or social pedagogy and management, are also presented.
Training can start in 2026 or 2027
Many of the offered apprenticeships and study places can in 2026 or 2027. The program is aimed at young people with different school qualifications – from a lower secondary school leaving certificate to a university entrance qualification.
Students can book their appointments in advance online via the IHK Darmstadt training portal.
