District of Groß-Gerau. With a joint breakfast in the bistro canteen of the district administration office, District Administrator Thomas Will and First Deputy District Administrator Adil Oyan welcomed 22 new trainees, students and interns to the district administration on August 11.
“It’s wonderful that you’re here and want to start working with us – in a modern administration,” emphasized District Administrator Will. The informal exchange with the two heads of administration was a highlight of the introductory week. After a brief round of introductions, they openly answered questions about their career paths and personal topics such as family, hobbies, and how they deal with setbacks. “Failure doesn’t have to be a disaster – it can also be an opportunity for further development,” said Oyan. Both emphasized the importance of honesty, trust, and openness as core values.
The introductory week offers new recruits a diverse program: team games promote getting to know one another, seminars impart specialist knowledge, values, and skills for everyday work. In addition, all participants receive an overview of organizational processes and internal structures.
The final event on Friday is the trainee day , an integral part of the training concept. It is entirely dedicated to the trainees and offers an opportunity for exchange and community building.
