The application period for the 2026 training year has already started
Groß-Gerau. The district town of Groß-Gerau welcomes two new trainees for the new training year: Jonas Kaffke and Felix Stieglitz have begun their apprenticeships as administrative assistants and will now strengthen the town administration's training team. This team now consists of a total of five trainees.
“Our administration thrives on dedicated young talent. With Jonas Kaffke and Felix Stieglitz, we are gaining two motivated young people who will actively shape the city. Training is of paramount importance to us – it is the best investment in the future of our city,” emphasizes Mayor Jörg Rüddenklau .
Versatile and practical training
The three-year apprenticeship with the city administration combines practical experience in various departments – including personnel, central services, building construction and real estate, and public order – with theoretical instruction at vocational school and the Darmstadt Administrative Seminar. The curriculum includes administrative law, municipal law, human resources, budgeting, and economics.
In addition to specialist knowledge, the training requires organizational skills, a confident understanding of laws, and the ability to interact with the public. It offers young people the opportunity to directly apply their theoretical knowledge in practice and to prepare themselves step by step for their future tasks.
Focus on developing young talent
The district town places great emphasis on developing its own young talent. In addition to a sound education, trainees benefit from attractive working conditions:

Application period for 2026 has started
