Vernissage with an artist discussion / applications for the exhibition year 2026 to June 25th possible
The regional gallery in the Darmstadt regional council will present the exhibition "Transition" Tuesday, June 3 . Drawing installations by Verena Freyschmidt and wooden sculptures by Dr. Paul Hirsch . The vernissage begins at 6 p.m. in the northern foyer of the college building at Luisenplatz 2 and is made by President of the District Prof. Dr. Jan Hilligardt opened.
As part of an artist discussion, the two artists exchange ideas about their works and positions. The exhibition is funded by the cultural summer of southern Hesse and can be seen until July 30th .
Opening times and registration
The exhibition is open on working days , each:
- Monday to Thursday : 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Friday : 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Artist call for 2026 runs until June 25th
Artists from the Rhein-Main/Südhessen for an exhibition in 2026 until June 25, 2025 . The South Hesse Regional Gallery sees itself as a forum for a wide range of artifications - below the museum threshold and without competition to professional galleries.
Only written applications with eight to ten photos will work . An independent artistic advisory board decides on the selection together with the board of the association. After visits to studio, the final annual planning is created.

With the South Hesse Regional Gallery, the regional council makes an active contribution to regional cultural support and cultural exchange . The gallery focuses on working regional artists.
