Traffic safety requires the felling of a linden tree and two silver maples
The city of Weiterstadt has announced that several trees in Gräfenhausen and Braunshardt will have to be felled in October 2025. The reason is a severe infestation of tinder fungus, which significantly impairs their stability.

Two silver maples on the lawn in front of the indoor swimming pool are also heavily infested with tinder fungus. The tree expert also diagnosed a significant impairment of their stability. To prevent danger to passersby and visitors, these trees will also be felled.
The measures will be implemented after completion of the species protection assessment and after the end of the breeding and nesting season in October 2025.
