Historic rematch on August 15th commemorates the first club match in 1945
Reinheim. To celebrate its 80th anniversary, SV 1945 Reinheim invites everyone to a special football evening at the Seewiesen Arena (Kirchstraße 71) on Friday, August 15, 2025. Kick-off is at 7 p.m., and admission is €4. The opponent is the veterans team of SV Darmstadt 98 – a match of great historical significance for the club.
The anniversary match commemorates the first official match in the club's history: On August 12, 1945, Reinheim faced Darmstadt at the Böllenfalltor stadium. The game ended 2-1 for Darmstadt, with Ernst Kammer scoring Reinheim's goal. The team traveled to the match by bicycle in summer weather.
Eighty years later, Darmstadt 98 returns to Reinheim for a historic rematch. The SV 1945 Reinheim veterans' team is looking forward to a spirited encounter that combines sporting tradition and club history.
