Historic return match on 15 August commemorates first club match in 1945
Reinheim. To celebrate the club's 80th anniversary, SV 1945 Reinheim invites you to a special football evening at the Seewiesen Arena (Kirchstraße 71) on Friday, August 15, 2025. Kickoff is at 7 p.m., admission is €4. Their opponent is the traditional team SV Darmstadt 98 – a match of great historical significance for the club.
The anniversary match harks back to the first official match in the club's history: On August 12, 1945, Reinheim faced the Lilies at the Böllenfalltor. The match ended 2-1 for Darmstadt, with Ernst Kammer scoring the goal for Reinheim. The team traveled there by bicycle in the summer weather.
80 years later, the Lilies return to Reinheim for the historic return match. The SV 1945 Reinheim talent factory is looking forward to an atmospheric clash that combines sporting tradition and club history.
