Water features and swings destroyed - damage determined on several systems
The city of Griesheim is once again faced with massive vandalism damage on several public playgrounds. forest playground is particularly affected , where water fun had to be set again at the end of May - just a few weeks after reopening in April . Unknowns had torn down the grip of the water pump there.
double seat swing on the forest playground also had to be dismantled by the building yard. The suspensions were so bent that safe use was no longer possible. Repeated damage was also available in the St. Stephan , where the swing suspension was manipulated several times. In response to this, a toddler seat was assembled as a replacement.

Weserstrasse playground also affected. There were extensive undermools on the stream after the water pump was put back into operation in April. The municipal building yard documented the damage.

"We are only at the beginning of the season. It is a shame if we already have to dismantle or shut down devices for vandalism," explains Daniel Landau , playground representative of the city of Griesheim.
Consequences for everyone - city brings every incident display
The repairs not only cause additional costs, but also bind personnel resources. In the end, the citizens themselves are suffering, since the infrastructure can no longer be used as planned.
