BüchnerFindetStatt offers 500 euros for information leading to the search for the perpetrator in Riedstadt
Following the severe vandalism of the "Valerio" statue at the Erfelder Altrhein on the night of March 3rd to 4th, the BüchnerFindetStatt association has offered a reward of 500 euros for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator(s). The investigation by the Groß-Gerau police station has so far been unsuccessful.
The sculpture was erected as part of an art project and organized and financed by the association BüchnerFindetStatt. After intensive deliberation, the association's board decided at its most recent meeting to send a clear message against senseless vandalism by offering a reward.
"We want to ensure that this act does not go unpunished," explains club chairman Werner Schmidt . If the perpetrators are identified, they will not only have to pay for the damaged figure, but also for the reward offered.
Whether the sculpture can be repaired and re-erected is currently undecided. The artist who created the work has already been involved in the decision.
Anyone who has made suspicious observations or can provide information about the perpetrator(s) is asked to contact the Groß-Gerau police station directly on telephone number 06152 1750 .
