Exchange, support and information on October 17th at the St. Josef parish hall
The VdK local chapter in Eberstadt, together with the Paritätische you to an information afternoon under the motto "Self-help – You are not alone!" The event will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025 , in the St. Josef Catholic Parish Hall, Gabelsberger Straße 17, Eberstadt . Doors open at 2:30 p.m., and the event begins at 3:00 p.m.
The focus is on the importance of self-help groups : they offer people in situations of health or emotional distress a place to exchange experiences, support, and guidance. Family members also find someone to talk to and comfort in these groups. The afternoon's speaker is Christiane Schär , responsible for self-help in Darmstadt.
"In self-help groups, people who share similar experiences come together. They provide each other with support, security, and a sense of belonging, and exchange valuable information," the organizers explained. Participants are supported by local self-help offices, which help them find suitable groups nearby.
The VdK cordially invites all members and interested parties. Guests are also welcome. As usual, coffee and cake served.
