Bernt Brettnich has been involved in the volunteer police service of the district town of Groß-Gerau for ten years. His 10-year anniversary in November 2024 is a significant milestone – both for him personally and for security work in the town.
Important support for the police and public order office
The volunteer police service is a voluntary organization coordinated by the Groß-Gerau police station . After completing 50 hours of basic training, the volunteers contribute approximately 25 hours of service per month.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Show a presence in the city
- Observing and reporting security-relevant observations
- Preventive talks with citizens
Especially at large events such as the Spring Awakening, "GG läuft" or the Night of the Senses, the volunteers make an important contribution to the security situation in Groß-Gerau .
