Support during loan periods – especially for children as a target group
Riedstadt-Goddelau. The Goddelau branch library is looking for volunteers: Anja Stark , head librarian of the Büchner city of Riedstadt, is offering dedicated individuals the opportunity volunteer at the Georg Büchner Library . They are seeking someone who loves books, is good with children, and enjoys a lively environment.
The library in Goddelau Town Hall is the most frequented of the city's five branch libraries. A particularly large number of children visit the facility – often alone – and require additional assistance with browsing and borrowing books. "It's wonderful when someone has a good book recommendation and is willing to listen to the young readers," says Stark.
Volunteer successor sought
The reason for the search: Long-time volunteer Anke Müller will be leaving on October 1st. "She was incredibly dedicated, the children loved her," Stark said, acknowledging her great commitment.
We are now looking for someone to take over the Monday lending hours – ideally also covering Thursdays occasionally . The branch library is open from 4 pm to 6 pm three hours per shift, including preparation and follow-up . You can start at any time – with thorough training before the official start in October.
