Schools, daycare centers and clubs are collecting waste together for a clean Reinheim
Reinheim. This autumn, numerous residents of Reinheim participated with great enthusiasm in the county-wide litter collection campaigns . Among the participants were the Dr. Kurt Schumacher School , the Ueberau Kindergarten , and the NABU Reinheim ( Conservation Union). The aim of the campaigns was to jointly demonstrate a commitment to environmental protection and sustainability – and to make Reinheim a little cleaner.
Children and adults worked together to help
The cleanup began at the end of September with the Ueberau kindergarten : nine families collected litter around the facility, contributing to a tidy townscape. Shortly afterward, the Dr. Kurt Schumacher School , fielding one of the largest groups with 366 children and 20 adults Reinheim's First City Councillor, Rainer Lauterbacher, also assisted a sixth-grade class with the cleanup. In total, they collected approximately five cubic meters of trash in 48 bags , which were then disposed of by the municipal works department.
The final cleanup took place in mid-October, organized by NABU Reinheim . Eleven adults and five children participated in the last collection event, gathering approximately 0.8 cubic meters of trash .
Mayor Feick praises the vibrant community spirit
Mayor Manuel Feick was impressed by the participants' commitment:
"It is impressive to see the enthusiasm and sense of responsibility with which even the youngest children are committed to environmental protection. Such actions are a strong sign of community spirit and sustainability in Reinheim."
