Alternative disposal option for citizens from March 7th
As the Darmstadt press office reports, the municipal services department of the City of Darmstadt (EAD) will be affected on several days due to the warning strike by the Verdi union. To mitigate the impact on waste disposal, the EAD will provide containers at various locations starting Friday, March 7th. Residents can dispose of their waste in their usual garbage bags at these containers.
The measure applies on the following days:
📅 Friday, March 7
📅 Monday, March 10
📅 Wednesday, March 12
📅 Thursday, March 13
📅 Friday, March 14
⏰ each day from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
City Treasurer André Schellenberg emphasizes:
“We are aware of the inconvenience for citizens affected by postponed collection dates. With this service, we hope to help reduce the burden. However, we urge everyone to use this service sparingly and to hold onto non-essential waste for later disposal.”
