Penultimate charity tournament of the WIEST GROUP inspires participants – tour final on August 9 in Gernsheim
Groß-Zimmern. 60 golfers at the Golf Sport Park Groß-Zimmern on Tuesday, August 5, for the penultimate tournament of the WCG Tour 2025. The charity tour, organized by the WIEST GROUP, made its second stop this season at the Zimmern Golf Club—a long-standing partner of the tournament series.

The 9-hole tournament was played in a foursome with selection drive and once again featured a good cause. Although the tournament began at 5 p.m. with a rain shower, sunshine, wind, and more showers alternated – but this didn't dampen the spirits of the participants. Around 7:30 p.m., the last flights returned to the clubhouse satisfied and in good spirits.
Award ceremony and donations for seriously ill children
At the evening event on the terrace of Luigi's Golf Restaurant, the top teams in the gross and net rankings were honored with large gift baskets from EDEKA Patschull Sven Lehr and Jesco Neumeyer , both from Zimmerner Golf Club, secured the tournament victory in the gross ranking the tour finale in Gernsheim.

The charity aspect was also not neglected: four birdies, 34 pars, and 87 bogeys resulted in a total donation of €97.50, which was matched by the tour partners. Together with another €652.50 from voluntary donations, the event raised a total of €847.50 for the Association for Children with Cancer and Chronically Illnesses Darmstadt / Rhine-Main-Neckar (VKKD) .
