A great game in high temperatures – 900 euros donated for children with cancer
WCGTour 2025 took place last Sunday at the Bensheim Golf Club . Around 70 golfers competed on the course located on the Hessian Bergstrasse – both in sporting competition and for a good cause.
The monthly prize in Bensheim has been a fixture in the WIEST GROUP . This year, the participants were not deterred by the sweltering heat: strong performances were achieved in both the 18-hole and 9-hole formats, which were subsequently recognized at the awards ceremony under the arcades of the club restaurant.
Victories, donations and sporting community
The gross victories went to Nadja Werner and Thomas Fili (both from GC Frankfurt). They thus secured their qualification for the final tournament on August 9th at the Gernsheim Golf Resort. A total of 19 birdies, 209 pars, and 350 bogeys were recorded. These performances generated €479 , which will benefit the Association for Children with Cancer and Chronic Illnesses Darmstadt / Rhine-Main-Neckar e. V. (VKKD) .

An additional €421 was donated by participants and guests during the awards ceremony – the total to €900 for the charity fund. The winners of handicap classes A to C, as well as the special categories, were delighted with gift baskets, vouchers, and prizes from the tour partners.
