Several events send a message of diversity and cohesion
The International Weeks Against Racism will take place this year from March 16 to 29, 2026. Their motto is "100 percent human dignity. Together against racism and right-wing extremism" .
The town of Groß-Gerau is also participating with several events. These are being organized by the town's social and integration office, the municipal youth services, and the Wallerstädten youth Red Cross.
Art project “Diversity in Color” at Haus Raiss
On Tuesday, March 24th , the Social and Integration Office invites to the participatory event “Diversity in Color” at Haus Raiss Groß-Gerau 10 am to 1 pm
Around 25 participants will each create their own canvas on the theme of diversity. Colors, symbols, and personal messages will combine to create a collaborative artwork that will then be permanently exhibited at Haus Raiss.
The event aims to create a space for exchange and bring people of different backgrounds into conversation with one another. Registrations are possible until Wednesday, March 18th , by phone at 06152 7165305 or by email to integrationsbuero@gross-gerau.de .
International breakfast brings people together
On Wednesday, March 25th , from 9 to 11 a.m., International Breakfast “Enjoyment and Encounter” at Haus Raiss .
Participants are invited to bring a dish or drink from their culture. This will create a diverse buffet that combines culinary traditions and offers an opportunity for exchange. Short icebreaker games and cooperative exercises will facilitate interaction.
Youth project on diversity in Wallerstädten
To conclude the series of events, the youth center and the youth Red Cross Wallerstädten will present a creative joint project Friday, March 27th , at 5 pm
In the stairwell of the old school in Wallerstädten, a puzzle collage on the theme of tolerance and diversity on display. Featuring continents, figures, and a red thread, it is intended to symbolize the interconnectedness of people.
