The town of Weiterstadt is seeking new members for the local court of Gräfenhausen and Schneppenhausen . They are looking for lay judges (male/female/diverse) to join the team led by the presiding judge. One of the lay judges will also serve as deputy presiding judge.
All members of the local court are sworn honorary officials and are bound by statutory confidentiality. They are appointed by the President of the Darmstadt District Court for a ten-year term upon the city's recommendation. If a member has already reached the age of 65, their term may be limited to five years. Reappointment is possible after this period.
Tasks of the local court
The activities of a local court include:
- Certification of signatures and copies
- Issuance of death notifications to the local court
- Securing the estate
- Participation in property boundary decisions
- Valuations of developed and undeveloped land
Requirements for applicants
Applicants must reside within the jurisdiction of the local court of Gräfenhausen/Schneppenhausen. Individuals with professional licenses or practice as lawyers or notaries, as well as those professionally managing the legal affairs of others, are not eligible. Applications from individuals with experience in real estate valuation are particularly welcome.
