From December 1st, 124 wishes can be fulfilled at the town hall.
The town of Groß-Gerau has announced that its popular Wishing Tree campaign will start again on Monday, December 1, 2025, in the foyer of the town hall. This year, 124 wish cards from children in Groß-Gerau families, who would be especially grateful for support due to their circumstances, will hang on the festively decorated tree.
Support for children from families in Groß-Gerau
The Wishing Tree campaign is a joint effort of the city and all participating citizens, businesses, and institutions. With a gift worth approximately €25, interested individuals can fulfill a Christmas wish and bring joy directly to someone. Most of the participating families are in regular contact with the city's Social and Integration Office.
The process is deliberately kept simple: The wrapped gifts are handed in at the information desk of the town hall. To ensure easy allocation, the respective wish card must be clearly attached to the package.
Deadline for gifts
To ensure that all children receive their surprise in time for the holidays, the presents must be handed in at the town hall no later than Friday, December 12, 2025, at 12:00 noon .
