Police reports from Darmstadt and the region
Police in Darmstadt are investigating several cases of theft and burglary that occurred in recent weeks. Here is an overview of the current cases:
Theft of a station wagon on Rundeturmstrasse
Sometime in early December, unknown individuals stole a white station wagon from Rundeturmstraße. The vehicle, bearing license plate DA-GS 5520, was broken into sometime between Saturday, December 7th, and Monday, December 9th, in a manner that remains unclear. The perpetrators then fled the scene in an unknown direction. Witnesses who noticed anything suspicious during this period are asked to contact Police Station 21/22 in Darmstadt.
Mountain bike impounded at the hospital
On November 1, 2024, police station 43 recovered a turquoise Ghost Kato 28 mountain bike from the hospital. Investigators believe the bicycle was stolen that same day from the intersection of Bismarckstrasse and Grafenstrasse. A suspect was observed tampering with parked bicycles. When he attempted to flee with two bicycles, he was confronted by a witness, at which point he abandoned one of the bikes.

The police are now searching for the rightful owner of the recovered bicycle or witnesses who can provide information about its origin. Anyone affected is asked to contact police station 43.
Break-in at school on Bessunger Straße
Between Wednesday (December 30) and Thursday morning (January 2), a school on Bessunger Straße was targeted by burglars. The perpetrators smashed a window to gain entry to the building. Once inside, they stole several computers and monitors. The exact number of stolen devices is still unclear. Witnesses who made any suspicious observations during this period are asked to contact Police Station 43 in Darmstadt.
