Raising awareness of mobilization strategies
Memes are an integral part of young people's lives and spread rapidly via messaging services, forums, and social networks. They are also deliberately used to convey political or misanthropic content in an easily accessible way. Mayor Barbara Akdeniz emphasizes the importance of dialogue about such strategies and the need to provide young people with opportunities for critical engagement.
In this workshop, participants learn to recognize and classify memes related to right-wing symbols, codes, and narratives.
