Joint maintenance of the bee sculptures and honey tasting on May 20th
To mark World Bee Day on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, the Nauheim Rural Women's Association, the Children's and Youth Parliament (KiJuPa), and dedicated adults invite you to a joint event around the Nauheim bee roundabout. It starts at 4:30 p.m. at the roundabout on Rüsselsheimer Straße/Berzallee.
The focus of the campaign is the care of the well-known wooden bee sculptures: members of the KiJuPa and the rural women's association first clean the figures before they are impregnated for protection after drying.
In addition, visitors can expect a small honey and bread tasting as well as informational material about the important role of bees in the ecosystem. Drinks will also be provided.
With this campaign, the organizers aim to raise awareness about the need to protect bees. "Bees are indispensable for the pollination of numerous plants and therefore for biodiversity and our food supply," the organizers emphasize.
The event is being held in cooperation with the municipality of Nauheim and the municipal works department. Everyone is cordially invited to join in making a statement for bee conservation.
Further information is available on the website of the municipality of Nauheim.
