During the incident, smoke developed in a vehicle collecting paper, cardboard, and cartons. The driver dumped approximately half of the load on the EAD premises, allowing the fire department to extinguish the blaze quickly. No one was injured, and the vehicle was not damaged. The fire was caused by an electrical appliance. The remaining parts suggest a cordless vacuum cleaner. The EAD recycling center is open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is located on the EAD premises at Sensfelderweg 33 in Darmstadt.
