The keynote speaker and keynote address will be economist and sociologist Prof. Dr. Thomas D\u00f6ring (Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences). He earned his postdoctoral lecturing qualification (Habilitation) with a thesis on design issues related to a reform of the federal fiscal equalization system. A panel discussion with public figures from the fields of politics, sports, education, culture, social services, and skilled trades will follow. Participants include: Nils Kliesing, Head of the Gro\u00df-Gerau District Chamber of Skilled Crafts; Juliane Kuhlmann, President of the Hessian State Sports Federation; Lucian Lazar, Head of Regional Diaconal Services Gro\u00df-Gerau\/R\u00fcsselsheim; Stefan Stein, Chairman of the District Parents' Council; and Christian Suhr, Director of the B\u00fcchnerB\u00fchne Riedstadt. This panel discussion, along with dialogue with other guests, aims to explore the societal implications and necessary actions when local governments run out of funds.
