Photo: Streit. I am Stella Streit, 27 years old, and live in Frankfurt. I was born in Bitburg. I studied law and business administration and hold the first state examination in law, an LL.B., and an MA. Professionally, I work as a legal trainee. In my free time, I enjoy politics, playing squash, and am passionate about cooking. Five questions for Stella Streit: How would you like to strengthen the educational landscape at the federal level, and how can schools and educational institutions in your constituency specifically benefit from this? At the federal level, I advocate for free daycare, the promotion of digital devices for low-income families, and a standardized federal Abitur (university entrance qualification). This would benefit local schools and educational institutions, as well as children, regardless of their social background, who would gain access to high-quality education. I also want to intensify teacher training to ensure that teachers are up-to-date with the latest educational research and technologies. Furthermore, I am committed to strengthening dual vocational training and practice-oriented degree programs, which improves students' career prospects and facilitates the transition from school to work. What measures do you support at the federal level to better manage migration, and how do you intend to ensure that these are implemented in a socially responsible manner in your constituency? To ensure that migration is orderly and controlled, I support asylum procedures directly at the borders and increased security at these borders. Locally, I want to offer special support programs for migrant children and promote integration through mandatory German language courses. Local integration projects such as mentoring programs, language courses, and vocational training can enable migrants to integrate into society and contribute to it. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are considered the backbone of the German economy. What federal policy measures do you plan to implement to strengthen SMEs, and how can you provide targeted support to businesses in your region? We plan to strengthen small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by reducing the corporate tax rate to 25 percent, lowering energy prices, and cutting red tape. Companies in Darmstadt and the surrounding region can be specifically supported through the abolition of inheritance tax on business transfers and targeted relief measures for SMEs. I am also committed to expanding digital infrastructure to facilitate access to modern technologies for businesses. How do you intend to promote a sustainable energy transition nationwide, and how can local initiatives and projects in your constituency receive greater support? I am committed to expanding renewable energy sources and promoting various energy-efficient heating systems nationwide. Local initiatives and projects will also benefit from appropriate incentives and support for reducing overall emissions. Funding programs for the expansion of solar and wind power plants will increase the use of renewable energies. Research and development in the field of environmental technologies should be specifically promoted to find innovative solutions to the challenges of climate change. What federal policy priorities do you set to advance infrastructure development in your constituency, and how can you ensure that your region's interests are heard in Berlin? I stand for a balanced transport policy that considers both private motorized transport and public transport. I want to promote the expansion of rail transport and the reactivation of disused railway lines. All citizens should have access to efficient, environmentally friendly, and affordable mobility. Furthermore, the expansion of digital infrastructure should ensure that all regions have access to high-speed internet. This will be particularly helpful in rural areas, promoting economic development and improving the quality of life for residents. Summary of the election program for the 2025 election: To improve the education system, we need equal opportunities, digitalization, and practical training. Affordable housing can be created through increased funding for social housing, rent-to-own models, and earmarked citizen bonds. Germany must invest more heavily in infrastructure, for example by accelerating the expansion of fiber optic networks by 2029. The railways must become more reliable, and the Deutschlandticket (Germany Ticket) should be retained beyond 2025, with adequate funding for transport associations. A culture of merit is needed: the basic income must be reformed, the principle of wage differentials strengthened, and corporate taxes reduced. The Free Voters are calling for \u20ac2,000 tax-free per month. Furthermore, Germany needs better migration management, more incentives for skilled worker immigration, and deportations for those lacking residency permits. Back to overview.
