This affects all graves of deceased persons buried before 1999. Lists of the affected individual row graves will soon be posted in the display cases at each cemetery. For all other grave sites (family graves, children's graves, urn graves, and urn niches), an extension of the lease is possible. The Cemetery Administration therefore requests that bereaved relatives contact Marisa Draeger at the town hall by calling 06158\/181-313. The clearing will be carried out by the municipal works department. For earth graves, only the surface will be cleared; that is, headstones, borders, and foundations will be removed. For urn niches, the plaques are removed and the outer urns containing the ash capsules are emptied. The ash capsules are then buried in the ground at a central location in the cemetery in the presence of a pastor or priest.
