Kaczynski described the attacks as \"extreme, but necessary.\" In the monologue \"Outsider,\" Theodore Kaczynski, also known as the Unabomber, speaks. He prepares for his final appearance before the jury of his trial. He explains, recounts, justifies, despairs, and begins again and again. A furious monologue from a desperate man who still clings to the hope of being heard. \"Outsider\" takes us on a quest to uncover the truth: How does a highly gifted \"prodigy\" and mathematics professor become first an outsider living in the woods and then a terrorist? How do manifestos become bombs? How and where can a society accelerate or even halt such a descent into extremism? What if?
