The German Federation for the Environment and Nature Conservation (BUND) and the Darmstadt Adult Education Center invite you to a lecture on bat conservation on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. It begins at 6:30 p.m. at the BUND Center for Urban Nature. How Gardens and Balconies Can Support Bats. Bats are also native to cities and can often be observed hunting insects at night. The lecture will show how private gardens and balconies can be designed to promote insects and thus provide an important food source for bats. Suitable plants will be presented, as well as typical hazards to which these protected animals are exposed in urban areas. Participation in person and online is possible. The event is free of charge and will take place at the BUND Center for Urban Nature at Klappacher Stra\u00dfe 27 (entrance via the Orangerie, first gate on the left). It is also possible to follow the lecture online via video conference. Further information on online participation is available on the BUND Darmstadt website. BUND and the adult education center provide information on species conservation in urban areas (DARMSTADT \u2013 RED\/PM\/BUND)"}
