Creative hands-on offers, addiction prevention and youth participation in the White Tower
With the youth pavilion #Darmstadt4u and the “Rowing Time” , the science city of Darmstadt also offers a wide and low -threshold offer for young people between the ages of 12 and 27 at the 2025 Schlossgrabenfest. From June 5th to 8th, the pavilion is open every day from 3:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the White Tower - free of charge and outside the festival site.
The youth pavilion sees itself as an open meeting point with play and conversation offers, information material, a fruit and water station as well as space for exchange on topics such as everyday life, participation, consumption and future prospects. The program is designed together with young people and reflects their living environment.
Prevention with creativity: "Route"
A special highlight is the "Rowing time" campaign of the addiction prevention (Netzwerk Rope e. V.). This is about enjoyable alternatives to intoxicants. On June 5, a "noise song for the city" is being built as part of a creative workshop. Further actions will take place on June 5th on Luisenplatz and on June 6th in the Herrngarten.
"The offer gives young people a place where they can find out, exchange and participate," said Mayor Barbara Akdeniz . "The young people help shape the offer - this is how an authentic, realistic space for encounter is created."
Youthplenum invites you to participate
for the first time the youth education work with the youth ring Darmstadt. On the pavilion, young people can find out more about the new youth plenum, which should enable young people from September 2025 to be active participation in urban politics.
Film project with young reporters
is accompanied by the entire project in film by young people under media education guidance- a cooperation project of the Child and Youth Promotion Department in the youth welfare office Darmstadt and the Darmstadt media center.
The participation campaign is organized by actors of the open child and youth work Darmstadt, the specialist office addiction prevention, mobile youth work (Werkhof Darmstadt), the children's and youth promotion of the youth welfare office and other local partners. This year too, free tickets for the Schlossgraben Festival will be raffled off.
