Lecture with memories and city history – part of the series “I am in love with our city”
On Wednesday, July 9, 2025 , the town of Groß-Gerau invites you to a special lecture on local history 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Haus Raiss (Frankfurter Straße 46). The event is part of the popular series "I'm in love with our town" "80 Years Since the End of the War," will focus on local history surrounding the end of World War II.
Memories and facts vividly recounted
The two speakers , Herta Merz and Lebrecht Viebahn Sr., take the audience on a vivid journey through time – informative, emotional, and entertaining. They focus not only on historical dates but also on personal memories , anecdotes , and small incidents that make history tangible.
The event series has been an integral part of cultural life in Groß-Gerau for years and is aimed at all generations – regardless of whether they are long-established residents or newcomers to the city.
Free admission – no registration required
Participation is free of charge and registration is not required . The lecture is organized by the team of the municipal senior citizens' services in cooperation with the city of Groß-Gerau.
