Bathing operation set due to increased concentration of cyanobacteria
Darmstadt-Arheilgen. The bathing operation on the Arheilger Mühlchen is now temporarily discontinued. The reason is an increased concentration of cyanobacteria, colloquially known as blue algae, in the water of the popular natural pool.
To protect the health of bathers, the city of Darmstadt decided on Tuesday to close the bathroom. The water quality is continuously monitored. Regular samples should provide information on when it is possible to release it. As soon as the measured values are harmless again, the public will be informed immediately.
