The district youth services offer a varied program with games, fun and team spirit.
Colorful leaves, crisp autumn air, and plenty of good cheer: 17 children from across the Groß-Gerau district spent an exciting week at the Ober-Seemen children's and youth holiday village . The Groß-Gerau district youth services had once again organized a diverse leisure program that combined nature experiences, community, and creativity.
No sooner had the tour bus arrived at the holiday village than autumn greeted the group with colorful leaves, a cool wind, and occasional rain showers. But this did not dampen their spirits: The children and the dedicated team of counselors made the best of it and quickly grew into a vibrant community.
Games, fun and exciting experiments
The program offered a diverse mix of forest explorations , a night hike , a disco evening , and a movie night . Participants were particularly enthusiastic about building their own water filters from natural materials – a new activity that playfully imparted knowledge about the environment and sustainability.
Holiday village Olympics as the crowning finale
The holiday village Olympics the final event. The children competed against each other in various disciplines, cheering each other on and laughing together. Team spirit was paramount – in the end, everyone was a winner.
The team of supervisors drew a positive conclusion: "An all-around successful children's holiday with many cool activities and happy faces." The children were also enthusiastic: "I definitely want to come again next year!" said one participant upon returning.
