Eberstädter Bürgerverein is looking forward to numerous enthusiastic bakers
In the new year there will be regular baking days in the Geibel's smithy in Eberstadt. These are organized by the "Backes" working group of the Eberstadt citizens' association from 1980 eV
The first baking day in the new year will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025 in the Garden of Geibel's Schmiede in Oberstraße 20 in Eberstadt. All visitors can bring their dough for bread, rolls, pizza and cake and bake in the wood -fired clay oven. The baking day starts at 10 a.m. with the cheering of the oven and preparations. The embers are pushed to the side around 12 noon and pizza and tarte flambee can be baked in the oven. At 1 p.m. the oven has reached the corresponding temperature, embers and ashes are removed and the bread can be inserted. After about an hour the bread is ready and the cake is the turn. The baking day ends at around 3 p.m.
The treats can be consumed on site in the cozy garden or in the covered barn. At cold temperatures, a fire shell is also available for warming up. Drinks are offered for payment. The various doughs and bumps must be brought along by the visitors. Participation on the baking day is free of charge. A donation box is ready. The next baking days will be on February 22nd and March 22nd. The "Backes" working group is looking forward to numerous enthusiastic bakers.
