Aleksandra and Alexander Grychtolik present works from Graupner to Vivaldi on July 5th
With an extraordinary concert evening, the Dotter Foundation invites you to the Ernst Ludwig Saal in Darmstadt-Eberstadt on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Under the title "A baroque opera gala on two harpsichords", the renowned harpsichists Aleksandra and Alexander Grychtolik present a varied program with works by Graupner, Rameau, Vivaldi and Handel.
The concert includes historical and contemporary arrangements of opera douert doors, ballet music and French dance music. Inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach's opera visits in Dresden, baroque improvisations complement the evening. The music of the baroque - shaped by the idea of transience (vanitas) - reflects the extreme emotions of the era with dramatic turns and expressive cads.
Aleksandra and Alexander Grychtolik are among the leading soloists in their field and combine subtle precision with lively joy of playing. They are particularly committed to the works of Bach, his sons and baroque improvisation art.
The pre-sale for the 69th yolk concert is running. During the concert, donations are collected to finance a 3D cut model of the former Eberstadt synagogue. The virtual reconstruction is realized in cooperation with the Technical University of Darmstadt.
