Back number 27: Polish attacker sees Lilien as a new chance
Darmstadt/Bad Wörishofen - SV Darmstadt 98 has signed another striker Bartosz Bialek The 22-year-old Pole has already arrived in the training camp in Bad Wörishofen and is to be on the pitch for the first time with the team on Tuesday. Bialek receives the number 27 .
Sports director Paul Fernie was satisfied with the transfer: "BartoSz has huge qualities. He is a complete center forward with a bilateral end, header and game intelligence. Even if he recently had little time due to injury, we see the obligation as a low-risk-high-reposition chance that fits our current squad situation well."
Bialek himself emphasizes the importance of the change : "I really wanted to go to Darmstadt. The conversations were very convincing and I already know coach Florian Kohfeldt - that helps me to better assess his expectations in my position. After a difficult phase, I see the new task as an opportunity to show what I have."
Stations in Poland, Wolfsburg, Arnheim and Eupen
Bialek was trained in the offspring of Zaglebie Lublin Ekstraklasa at the age of 17 and scored nine goals in 19 games. In 2020 he moved to VfL Wolfsburg and came to 19 missions and two goals in his first Bundesliga season. This was followed by loan stations at Vitesse Arnheim (25 games, 5 goals) and most recently at Kas Eupen , where he braked injuries.
Internationally, Bialek ran 22 times for Poland's U-national teams. Among other things, he scored four goals for the U21 in ten games.
