As part of the "Cultural Heritage Region Seeheim-Jugenheim" series, the museum association invites you to a guided tour of the Jugenheim mountain church. The event will take place Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 3 p.m.
A glimpse into a building with a long history
The mountain church is considered an important cultural monument with art historical and local historical value. The hall church was built in the 13th century and has been remodeled several times over the centuries – including in the 15th, 16th and 19th centuries.
The tour will be led by Hermann Waßmuth, organist of the Protestant church in Jugenheim.
Meeting point and arrival
The meeting point is at 2:45 pm at the retaining wall of the historic churchyard at the church entrance.
The district of Jugenheim can be reached on Sundays by tram line 8. The walk from the Ludwigstraße stop takes approximately 20 minutes.
Parking is available in the area around the old town hall in Jugenheim. From there, a short footpath leads to the church on the western slope of the Heiligenberg hill in the Odenwald forest.
