Festive days with tradition, music and a large parade
The Bessunger Kerb 2025 will take place from September 18 to 23. Visitors can expect a varied program with music, church services, a children's festival, Kerber speeches, a large parade, and fireworks.

Thursday, September 18
- 6:00 PM: Evening with music and comedy (Petrusgemeinde Parish Hall, Eichwiesenstraße)
- 7 p.m.: Opening of the Kerb 2025 – “It’s going to be hot in Labbingshause!”
Free entry with the Kerb button, otherwise a 3-euro donation
Friday, September 19
- 6:00 PM: Presentation of the Kerbekranz (meeting point: Forstmeisterplatz)
- 7 p.m.: Raising of the parish wreath in the Orangery Garden, tapping of the keg by Mayor Hanno Benz
- from 8 pm: Kölsch party with Colonia Express (M&S Hausmann beer garden)
Saturday, September 20
- 12:00–15:00: Morning pint at Gies
- 1 p.m.: 36th Bessunger Merck Run (Start/Finish Orangery)
- 2:00 PM: Hike with Georg “Schorsch” Angrick (meeting point: Reading Garden Orangery)
- 3 p.m.: Children's festival in the upper Orangery garden
- 8 p.m.: Kerberede in the Comedy Hall with Kerbevadder Matthias and adjutants
- from 8 pm: The Sterzbach-Buben in the Orangerie beer garden
Sunday, September 21
- 9:00 a.m.: Wake-up call from Alt-Bessungen
- 10:00 a.m.: Ecumenical celebration service in the Bessunger Church
- 11:00 a.m.: Handballers' brunch, from 8:00 p.m. DJ Ranger
- 1:45 p.m.: Grand parade through Bessungen (performance at the Bessungen lighthouse)
- 3.30 p.m.: Concert coffee in the Orangery Garden
- from 8 pm: Music in the beer garden M&S Hausmann
Monday, September 22
- 10:00 a.m.: Morning pint with Kerberede in the Orangery Hall
- from 8 pm: Music in the beer garden M&S Hausmann
- approx. 9.30 pm: Large fireworks display in the Orangery Garden
Tuesday, September 23
- 7.30 p.m.: “Kerb Funeral” – Funeral procession from Brunnebitt through Bessungen
- Afterwards: herring or meatloaf with boiled potatoes (Parish Hall Petrusgemeinde)
