Registration for the appointment on September 12th is possible at the end of August
Following high demand at the recent event in Griesheim, the police are offering another bicycle coding session in Darmstadt-Arheilgen . On Saturday, September 12, 2026, bicycles can be coded from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Löwenplatz. Prior registration is required.
At the two most recent events on August 6th and 7th at the Griesheim police station, Police Chief Inspector Boris Kolb, the local community police officer, coded a total of 33 bicycles. According to the police, there had already been a high demand for the service beforehand. Alongside the coding, officers provided information on various crime prevention topics.
The next event will be organized by the 3rd police precinct on Saturday, September 12th, from 10 am to 2 pm at Löwenplatz in Arheilgen.
Registration on August 26th and 27th
Pre-registration is required for bicycle coding. Appointments can be made on Wednesday, August 26, and Thursday, August 27, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. by calling 06151/969-53400 . The contact person is Odine Kunert, community policing officer at the 3rd Police Precinct.
Please have the required personal information ready when registering. For the actual coding appointment, you will need to bring an identification document and proof of ownership for the bicycle.
According to the police, bicycles with carbon frames are not suitable for this form of coding.
