Police invite you to an action against bicycle theft
The Darmstadt 2nd Police Precinct is offering bicycle coding on April 11, 2026. The aim of the campaign is to better protect bicycles from theft.
In addition to sturdy locks and other security measures, coding is considered a useful addition. It makes it more difficult to resell stolen bicycles and helps in returning them to their owners.

- April 2026, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Registration required
Prior registration is required for participation. Registration is possible during two periods:
- March to April 3, 2026
- April to April 10, 2026,
daily from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Important notes on coding
The following documents must be brought along for bicycle coding:
- Identification document
- Proof of ownership for the bicycle
Carbon bicycles cannot be coded for technical reasons.
