Discover nature, explore and create at Kranichstein Hunting Lodge
In July, the bioversum Jagdschloss Kranichstein (Kranichstein Hunting Lodge) once again invites families with children to a diverse summer program. Whether extracting honey, building boats, or making fires – everything here revolves around experiencing, exploring, and doing things yourself. The program is complemented by special guided tours of the museum and a falconry demonstration on July 20th.
Visitor laboratory: From honeybees to woodcarving
For children aged 6 to 10, the visitor lab offers exciting workshops every Sunday. It starts on July 6th with the theme "From Honeycomb to Honey Bread," where children can extract honey themselves. On July 13th , there will be wood carving, on July 20th the focus will be on biodiversity in meadows – and on July 27th, the program includes fire-making using Stone Age techniques.

Family holiday program: Research, build, discover
The varied holiday program takes place from Tuesday to Friday – ideal for anyone who wants to experience nature up close. On offer:

- 10. & 11.07.Boat building followed by a race on the Ruthsenbach stream
- 15. & 16.07.Discover and craft native forest animals
- 17. & 18.07.Insect excursion to the Ruthsenbach stream
- 22. & 23.07.Wild bees and flower meadows
- 24. & 25.07.From wolf to dog – an evolutionary trail
- 29. & 30.07.: Making cords from plant fibers
- 31.07.: Building a child-friendly fire drill
- Time: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- Cost: 10.00 euros per person (including admission and materials)

Special guided tours and forest adventures on July 20th
, is a special day Sunday, July 20th:
- 11:00 AM: Children's tour with hand puppets about water
- 11:30 a.m.: Forest adventure with dwarf Dabbe ("treasure hunt")
- 2:00 PM: Visitor laboratory on biodiversity
- 3:00 PM: Falconry demonstration with owls and birds of prey
- 3:00 PM: Special guided tour of the exhibition "When the stag sees red – The hunters and their green"
All events will take place regardless of the weather. Early registration is recommended.
