The Protestant Church will bestow blessings at the Böllenfalltor and on the market square on August 18th.
Darmstadt. To mark the start of the new school year, the Protestant Church invites everyone to a special event on Monday, August 18, 2025: Students, teachers, parents and all interested parties can receive a blessing at two locations in Darmstadt on this day.
From 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., pastors, community educators, lay preachers, and other volunteers will be present at Böllenfalltor. Simultaneously, the team will be available at Darmstadt's market square from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m.
The blessing event at the start of the school year is organized by "FEST im Leben," the innovation and coordination center of the Protestant Deanery of Darmstadt, headed by Pastor Astrid Maria Horn, and by the Darmstadt City Youth Ministry with City Youth Pastor Dagmar Unkelbach. The aim is to accompany the start of the school year with a personal blessing and thus provide a positive impetus for the coming school year.
