Square design with seating areas and a tree – construction planned to begin this year
The survey regarding the planned redesign of the square in front of the public bookcase in Braunshardt has been completed – with a clear result: Over 40 percent of participants voted for the so-called "bistro" option , small seating areas with bistro tables will enhance the space and invite people to linger.
“We are delighted by the great commitment of the population and the clear vote. This will make the square more inviting, more vibrant and a real meeting place in the heart of the town,” emphasizes Mayor Ralf Möller.
Citizens' wishes are incorporated into the planning
In addition to the preferred seating option, many citizens have submitted further suggestions , which will now be taken into account. For example, an additional tree be planted to provide shade and improve the overall quality of the area.
Financing is expected to be secured
The city has for funding from the regional equalization fund . This funding is expected to cover 100 percent of the implementation costs . The city administration anticipates construction will begin before the end of 2025 .
