Citizens’ association invites you to the hike “Off to the South”
The Eberstadt Citizens' Association of 1980 and the Eberstadt District Administration invite you to the traditional border walk on Sunday, October 12, 2025. This year's approximately two-and-a-half-hour hike through the Eberstadt district is themed "Off to the South."
The start is at 10 a.m. at Eberstadt's market square. From there, the route leads along the renovated Modau promenade through the "Im Esel" area to VfR Eberstadt, where light refreshments will be available. The route continues through the Fritz-Dächert housing estate to Circus Waldoni, a fixture in the region's circus and youth work scene.
The route then continues along the main street to the church café of the Eberstadt South Evangelical Church, before the final leg leads through the Kirchtannensiedlung, past the cemetery, and back to the center. The destination is the clubhouse of the Eberstadt Citizens' Association at Oberstraße 20. Pea soup with or without sausages will be served there by the German Red Cross (DRK) Eberstadt.
Food vouchers cost €8 and include soup, a roll, and a non-alcoholic beverage. They are available in advance from the Eberstadt District Administration Office or directly at the start and finish points.
