The citizens' association invites you to the hike "Off to the South"
The Eberstadt Citizens' Association of 1980 and the Eberstadt District Administration invite you to the traditional boundary walk on Sunday, October 12, 2025. This year's approximately two-and-a-half-hour hike through the Eberstadt district is themed "Off to the South.".
The tour starts at 10 a.m. at the Eberstadt market square. From there, the route leads along the renovated Modau promenade through the "Im Esel" area to the VfR Eberstadt sports club, where refreshments will be available. The tour continues through the Fritz-Dächert housing estate to Circus Waldoni, a well-established name in regional circus arts and youth programs.
The route then leads across the main road to the church café of the Evangelical Church of Eberstadt South, before the final leg through the Kirchtannen housing estate, past the cemetery, back to the town center. The destination is the clubhouse of the Eberstadt Citizens' Association at Oberstraße 20. There, pea soup with or without sausage will be served by the German Red Cross (DRK) Eberstadt.
Food vouchers cost 8 euros and include soup, a bread roll, and a non-alcoholic drink. They are available in advance at the Eberstadt district administration office or directly at the start/finish line.
