Young people decorate electrical boxes in the park of Weiterstadt Castle
Youth engagement is now visible in Braunshardt Castle Park: A group of confirmation candidates, in cooperation with the town of Weiterstadt, have artistically designed several electrical boxes on the castle grounds . The aim was to enhance the historic area through creative initiatives and to set a visible example of youth participation.
The project originated as part of the Catholic Church's confirmation preparation program brushes, paint, and a wealth of ideas, the young people brought their visions to life. The resulting designs connect the castle with the surrounding nature and blend harmoniously into the overall garden design.
Three electrical boxes have been redesigned and are now colorful eye-catchers in the castle park.
Mayor Ralf Möller praises the young people's efforts:
"The result is truly impressive. The young people have not only done creative work, but have also taken responsibility for public space – a strong sign of active engagement."
The city of Weiterstadt supported the project both organizationally and financially – in particular by providing the paints and materials .
Oskar, Tim, Laurens and Laura were accompanied by the teamers of the Catholic Church, Paul Schöneberger and Bjarne Förster .
