Riedstadt-Wolfskehlen – The Wolfskehlen community center will reopen as a restaurant on August 1, 2025. After a lengthy search, the city of Riedstadt has Elia Vincenzo Santacroce Ristorante "da mé," previously located in Biebesheim, to Wolfskehlen.
Mayor Marcus Kretschmann welcomes the decision: “We have found a dedicated tenant who not only values good cuisine, but also wants to make the community center a vibrant meeting place again – with close ties to the clubs and an open ear for the local people.”
Modernization and new ideas for the community center
Before regular operations begin, extensive renovations are planned: The dining areas will receive a modern ambiance, with the bar in particular intended to be the central meeting point. "The bar brings people together – this is where the conversation starts," says Giovanni Santacroce , son of the proprietor.
The family is also planning new event formats, such as an open table where guests can meet regularly in a social setting. Private celebrations, club activities, and neighborhood festivals are also to be held more frequently at the community center in the future.
Close cooperation with clubs is planned
A particular focus is on cooperation with Wolfskehl's clubs and associations . The new operators plan to invite representatives from these organizations to a meeting soon to understand their needs and develop joint ideas. "The clubs are active, committed, and looking for a reliable partner," said Mayor Kretschmann.
Italian cuisine remains a trademark
The Santacroce family's culinary focus is on Italian specialties , with which they have already made a name for themselves in Biebesheim. The aim is to offer catering services Wolfskehler Kerb (local fair) than Christmas 2025 .
“We are very much looking forward to Wolfskehlen – and to filling this place with life,” said the Santacroce family.
