Around 50 business owners are exchanging ideas at the Lufthansa Seeheim
The second business networking event of the year in Seeheim-Jugenheim brought together around 50 entrepreneurs in mid-June. The event was hosted by the Lufthansa Seeheim conference hotel in cooperation with the municipality's economic development agency. The focus of the evening was on tourism in Seeheim-Jugenheim, as well as networking and exchanging ideas among local businesses.
More than 120,000 overnight stays in Seeheim-Jugenheim
Tourism was mentioned as one of the desired topics at the ideas workshop of the first business meeting in February. Eva Braune from the municipal economic development office presented current figures and background information on the importance of tourism for the region in a keynote address.
With over 120,000 overnight stays, Seeheim-Jugenheim holds a leading position in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district and the neighboring Bergstraße district, according to the municipality. The Lufthansa Seeheim conference hotel, a major conference venue, plays a significant role in this success.
Braune also presented the collaboration with the Darmstadt-Dieburg district and the Bergstraße Tourism Service Association. This included discussions about existing measures and opportunities to increase the visibility of tourist offerings.
Insights into the Lufthansa Seeheim
Kai Peters, Managing Director of Lufthansa Seeheim, and Sales Director Kristian Straub gave participants insights into the history and development of the hotel. The former in-house training center has since evolved into a conference hotel that also offers cultural and culinary experiences for the local community.
During a guided tour of the building, guests were able to explore event spaces, hotel rooms, the restaurant area, and the recreation area. Alternatively, the Seeheim-Jugenheim artist Thomas Glas led a tour of his exhibition of works within the building.
The evening concluded with conversation and a shared meal, providing a further opportunity to strengthen existing contacts and forge new connections between local business owners.
