MEP Gahler and state parliamentarian Jourdan visit the Geibel blacksmith shop
Darmstadt-Eberstadt. The Eberstadt CDU its traditional summer festival , a Bavarian-style brunch, July 20, 2025 at the Geibel blacksmith's shop – enjoying perfect weather and a large turnout. In addition to numerous guests from Eberstadt's clubs and associations, the CDU was also pleased high-ranking political representatives .
Among those present were MEP Michael Gahler (CDU) and Hessian CDU state parliament member Hartwig Jourdan . Both were warmly welcomed by the chairman of the Eberstadt CDU, Peter Franz, MdL – as were the numerous citizens from the district.
Political discussions and social gatherings
After the ceremonial tapping of the keg by Michael Gahler and Eberstadt's district administrator Lutz Achenbach , there was a lively crowd at the bar: Cool drinks were especially in demand in the summer heat. In a convivial atmosphere, guests chatted with each other over traditional music and Bavarian specialties.
The focus, however, was not only on socializing and music, but also on current insights into European and state politics . The political guests gave firsthand accounts of their work and discussed issues affecting Eberstadt and beyond with those present.
Peter Franz drew a positive conclusion: "It was a lovely morning with many good conversations with the residents of Eberstadt." He expressed his special thanks to the organizing team: "The entire board of the CDU Eberstadt made this festival possible with great dedication."
