DSW12 junior swimmer ends season with international success for Slovakia
Darmstadt. Young swimmer Tom Howorka from DSW 1912 Darmstadt celebrated a strong international debut at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Skopje . Competing for the Slovakian national team , the young athlete delivered convincing performances in international competition at the end of the season
Howorka finished the 100-meter freestyle in 54.72 seconds , placing 22nd overall. He fared even better in the 50-meter freestyle : the DSW12 swimmer reached the semifinals in 24.63 seconds and secured a strong 15th place . Howorka also demonstrated his potential in the mixed relay, achieving a respectable 11th place with the Slovakian team .
Following Niclas Keilmann 's successful participation in the Junior European Championships, Howorka is already the second DSW12 athlete to compete in a major international youth competition this year. The club sees this as confirmation of its successful youth development program and warmly congratulates its athlete on this successful end to the season.
Howorka's intense competition season ends with the EYOF. DSW12 now takes a short summer break – but the first training camps to prepare for the upcoming season will begin in just a few weeks.
