Academy of sound art plays in the Kunsthalle
On Friday, February 28th, students of the Academy of Tonkunst presented the chamber concert "Mathildenhöhe" in the Kunsthalle Darmstadt (Steubenplatz 1). The event begins at 8 p.m., admission is free.
The program combines historical works - including compositions by Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig and Gustav Mahler - with contemporary sounds, including a work by Bruno Maderna who spent the last years of his life in Darmstadt. A special highlight is the premiere of Laura Bellusci's electronic work "Swarm", which is inspired by the Mathildenhöhe World Heritage Site.
