Premiere on 13 September at the TSG 1846 facility – proceeds go to the association “Aus der Not”
On Saturday, September 13, 2025, a special sports and charity event will take place in Darmstadt: The Leo Club Darmstadt "Ludovicus" will be hosting a charity tennis tournament . The venue will be the TSG 1846 eV tennis facility in Bessungen.
The tournament replaces the traditional charity golf tournament of the two Lions Clubs and is scheduled to be held regularly in the future. Up to 80 participants are expected, competing in alternating doubles pairings. In addition to the sporting competition, the focus is primarily on the good cause: all proceeds – entry fees, raffle tickets, and cocktail sales at the evening event – will benefit the "Aus der Not Darmstadt eV" .
Support for people in need
The relatively new organization has been committed to helping people in difficult circumstances since its founding. The two founders provide those in need with food, drinks, clothing, and hygiene products on weekly tours of the city center. They also accompany those affected to doctor's appointments, visits to authorities, or in the search for housing. They have already successfully taken people off the streets permanently on several occasions – often with great personal commitment.
Sports, award ceremony and after-party
The charity tournament offers not only exciting matches but also a diverse supporting program. In the evening, the club restaurant EnWoog you to a buffet on the terrace. The awards ceremony will also take place there, before a raffle and an after-party with DJs from the Darmstadt-based label Label.31 round off the day. Guests not participating in the tournament are also welcome to the evening event.

Sponsors are also welcome – whether with non-cash prizes for first to third place finishers, raffle prizes, or financial support.
