Autumn holiday program from October 13th to 17th for 10- to 14-year-olds
The Protestant Deanery of Darmstadt is offering a children's camp on the topic of democracy during the second week of the autumn school holidays. Titled "Your Voice Counts!", the camp will take place from October 13th to 17th, 2025, on the Donnerskopf mountain near Butzbach in the Taunus region . Children between the ages of ten and fourteen are eligible to participate.
The focus is on experiencing democracy through play . Together in plenary sessions, participants decide which games to play, which excursions to undertake, and what to eat. "The participants should learn how important their voice is, how decisions are made, and what it means to take responsibility," explains Celina Wittkatis , who plans and organizes retreats in the deanery.
Costs and registration
Participation costs 170 euros per child ; siblings pay 120 euros . The price includes arrival and departure, accommodation, full board, program and excursions.
